1.07.2006 PARTENRSHIP PROJECT WITH H.A.S.M.

The project which is located in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo was developed in partnership with H.A.S.M for a private competition. The project utilizes the findings of the KIBO research project. The prefabricated timber construction is intended to be produced in Austria according the research findings of the KIBO team. The project site is 78m2 and the total floor area of the building is about 112m2 - a typical Tokyo house

  10.05.2006 KIBO PROJECT START

KIBO is a joint research project between an Austrian timber construction company, a climatic engineer and Archinet. The goal of the project is to investigate innovative dwelling concepts for the japanese context. The project also tries to investigate new forms of collaboration between the engineering and the manufacturing side. Letīs hope for a fruitful collaboration.

CONCEPT

Renovation of a typical 60ies building in a dense neighbourhood. The simple form of the existing building is combined with a new prefabricated unit showing the respect between old and new.
