CONCEPT

The concept suggest the redesign of the triangle between broadway and 7 th avenue because of the following reasons:

- to provide space for the people waiting for broadway tickets.
- to block off the people from the traffic flow of 7 th avenue
- to provide a unifying appearance of the site and therefore a strong CI.

The structured pattern of the space in front of the ticket buying booth enhances a flexible organization of the waiting people.  The information concept is based on the strong horizontal appearance of the design. The ticket selling box has a two layer skin. Behind the glass skin small monitors can be programmed according to the information needs. The box therefore has a very clear enlightened appearance and can be recognized from the surroundings. The "fence-like" element between the site and the 7th avenue is based on a similar concept.
